Falling Up

When you fall into everything but love
The elevator stops and then slowly descends
The only ones who seem to be happy
Unknowing onlookers, family, and friends

Those comfy old shoes get unwearable
The routine turns from safety to stale
The sunshine you always dreamed for yourself
Washes and bleeds into all shades of pale

But when you fall under true loves spell
Your heart streams the smiles to your face
And the wishes and dreams that most matter
Work in tandem to all fall into place

Let go of the fear, excuses, and clatter
Hear what your soul has been trying to say
That your peace and your joy lay before you
If you only learn to get out of your way
