I Am The Wrong Man

I am the wrong man
I may always be
I am the free man
Who never is free
I am the fool
Fighting for cause
While others laugh
And point out the flaws
I am the lover
Without the one
I am the old soul
Both whole and undone
I’m the old traveler
Standing quite still
On top of the mountain
Yet struggling uphill
I am the darkness
And I am the light
I am the wrong man
Fumbling for right
I am alone
In all I rejoice
I sing the silence
Pretend it’s by choice
I am the cloud
Mocking the sky
I am the link
To what-where-and-why
I am the stars
Beaming down from above
I am the wrong man
For I am in love
I am the wrong man
In the wrong time
With the voice of a mute
In the box of a mime
