Get over the crying

Lament not the losses

Nor carry their weight

They were merely the lessons

To ensure better fate

It’s never too late

To go at it again

There’s a signpost to right

Beyond every cloud

Is a sun’s warming light

 

Understand your opponent

Confront hows and whys

Then keep stepping forward

Until the old demon dies

 

Prepare for the things

You’re not ready to do

It’s commitment to try

It’s investment in you

 

Learn to resist

Every negative pull

Then empty your glass

For it will always be full

 

But avoid getting too drunk

The hangover is murder!
