Love is water

Indescribable taste

Scentless fragrance

Yet able to quench

Our deepest thirst

 

Love is air

Envelops and caresses

Gives hope to breath

Fuels the flame

That kisses the skin

 

Love is earth

The fertile soil

In which we plant

And nurture

The seeds we sow

 

Love is sunlight

Bathing the moon

Dancing with stars

The smile that beckons

And lights the way

 

Love is the sight

Not of vision

But of soul

The den and hearth

Where peace resides

 

Love is most powerful

The bringer of happiness

The binder of beauty

The bridger of hearts

 

Love is time

To fill its calling

Strung by moments

Across eternity
