Only What WE Know

 

I can write a million words of hope

Save them to my book of destiny

Sing every song of silent calling

Until someone sings them back to me

 

Touched where no one sought to reach

With no secret left to show

And cry behind laughter’s release

Knowing there’s someone who will know

 

No more to hide in my own shadow

Away from those without a light

Seeking what they’ll never see

Yet convinced they are seeing right

 

For one will shine their light to mine

New light free to dance and glow

Touch all that others can’t see to feel

Know all and only what WE know
