Someday The World

 

Someday the world I never knew

Will lift and carry me on through

Walk beside me hand in hand

Reveal what I don’t understand

 

But till that day

I know I must abide

And draw the best I can

From deep inside

 

Someday some rainy daydream scene

Will pour on me and wash me clean

And I'll go running past the sun

To share my joy with everyone

 

But till that day

I’ll stick to my plan

Make someone smile

And proud of who I am

 

Someday the world I know exists

Will finally bring me all I’ve missed

And I’ll no longer dwell apart

From hope that lives inside my heart

 

But till that day

The glimpses of each goal

Will stoke the fires

That feed my seeking soul

 

Someday the world that never came

Will enter whispering my name

Then lead me to some peaceful stream

Where love is more than just a dream

 

But till that day

I’ll give all I can

Look for the light

That shines me to its plan

 

Someday the world I want to see

Will offer up it's company

Then I will enter its embrace

Get lost inside its smiling face

 

But till that day

I’ll light this world anew

And share my soul

With someone just like you
